Maailman synty by Saana ja Olli

I'm always happy to get an email from Saana ja Olli announcing a new collection—their newest release, called Maailman synty (= the birth of the world) is inspired by age-old Finnish creation myths and their rich wall rug traditions. The design, which is slightly reminiscent of cross-stitch but with a decidedly modern angle, is printed on hemp fabric which Saana ja Olli produces. The design duo behind Saana ja Olli is strongly commited to sustainable products, quality and local production. You can view the rest of their collections here, and perhaps find a retailer near you here (although you'll have more luck within the EU for now).
